Like most of the country, Gloucestershire has been basking in glorious sunshine over the last few days. Usual activities for care home residents just would not be enjoyable, so the Activities team at Bay Tree Court Care Home instead came up with some alternatives. On one day they arranged a mocktail-tasting session and on another they offered cooling foot massages to residents to help them cope with the heat.
To make the heat a bit more bearable, our activities team arranged a cocktail-tasting session for the residents. On offer were Summer Breeze, Strawberry Daiquiri, Mojito, and Virgin Mary. After sampling each of them, residents were able to pick their favourite and enjoy a full-size version of it. Don’t worry! These were mocktails – full of refreshing flavour but without the alcohol. As you can see in the photos, they went down very well. Cheers!
A relaxing foot massage as an activity for residents
A cooling foot soak and a foot massage was just what some of our ladies needed. Here expertly delivered by Gill, our activity co-ordinator. Gill used her skilled hands to provide relief for tired feet. Needless to say, some found this a little ticklish but it was still fun.
